The CELTA is ideal if you're looking for an exciting new career opportunity or if you're looking to travel and teach anywhere in the world
New teachers can get the training they need to become effective English language teachers.
Existing teachers, who haven't had much formal training, can use the CELTA to sharpen their techniques, prove their ability, and boost their career prospects.
Become a Qualified Teacher
The CELTA is awarded by Cambridge English Language Assessment and is therefore internationally recognized and highly respected. It is widely used as a benchmark of basic teaching skills and quality by:
English language schools
Non-governmental organisations (NGOs)
Other educational organisations.
What to Expect?
On your CELTA course you will gain teaching skills, knowledge and hands-on experience with adult learners of different language levels.
The course usually runs from Monday to Friday from 8.45am - 5.30pm. During the course, you will have 120 hours of contact with the trainers.
You can also expect to continue your studies in the evenings and at the weekend as there are 6 hours of teaching practice in total and 4 written assignments to complete.
It is not possible to work whilst on this course.
